THE CORAL TRIANGLE INITIATIVE
The Coral Triangle Initiative, supported by WWF, focuses on protecting the Coral Triangle, a region in the Pacific Ocean known for its incredible marine biodiversity. Spanning six countries, this area is home to 76% of the world’s coral species and supports millions of people through fishing and tourism. The initiative works to conserve coral reefs, safeguard endangered species, and promote sustainable practices to protect these vital ecosystems for future generations.
